The vlogger has found himself in some hot water yet again.
Logan Paul is being penalized by YouTube once again, after having posted another insensitive video to his popular channel. This time, the company has banned advertisements from being played on his videos, effectively ending any chance at acquiring an income for the time being.
In this highly-contested video, Paul can be seen using tasers on dead rats, while also removing a koi fish from a pond and placing it on the ground as an act of animal torture. PETA was the first to react to the vlogger’s shenanigans, noting how his actions are both disrespectful and rooted in hatred.
YouTube has issued a statement condemning Paul and his actions to the Huffington Post, revealing how “after careful consideration, we have decided to temporarily suspend ads on Logan Paul’s YouTube channels. This is not a decision we made lightly. However, we believe he has exhibited a pattern of behavior in his videos that makes his channel not only unsuitable for advertisers, but also potentially damaging to the broader creator community.”
In a video posted on February 4, Paul brags about having accumulated a vast subscriber count after having taken a short sabbatical from YouTube following the outcry over his video depicting the Japanese “suicide forest.” Paul admits that “I know for a fact everything I do from this point on will get criticism, it will get backlash, because I’m a very polarizing dude. You either love me, or you hate me. So internet, please, use me, bro. Crucify me, vilify me, and I can promise you one thing, guys. I’m not going anywhere. I’m going to be here for a minute.”
